Srinagar, Pahalgam and Sonamarg Tour Itinerary
Welcome to Kashmir. On arrival, you will be greeted by Trek Valley Travels representative / Company driver and transferred to hotel in Srinagar, check into the hotel and later in afternoon, sightseeing of the renowned Mughal gardens [Shalimar bagh (built by Jehangir for his wife empress Nur Jahan), Nishat (built by Asaf Khan, the brother -in- law of Jehangir in 1632 AD), Chesmashahi] located on the banks of the Dal Lake with the Zabarwan hills in the backdrop, the gardens have a serene beauty. Also visit Shankaracharaya Temple (Around 950 years old), Famous Dargah Hazratbal & Old city (Around 800 years old).
Rest of the evening will be free for leisure. Overnight stay in Hotel.
Begin your day of majestic Gurez valley package with breakfast and get ready for the drive towards Gurez valley.Gurez valley is located in the Himalayas and you reach there through road from Bandipora via Razdan Top. The drive is nothing less than a spectacular experience and you will notice the beauty of nature at its best.Visit Razdon top located at an altitude of 11672 feet. It is famous for its medicinal plant. Razdan Pass is an adrenaline-pumping road in India. From Razdan top you can view the snow-capped Harmukh Peak which is the highest mountain peak of Kashmir.On reaching Gurez, check in to your hotel for an overnight stay.
Start your day with morning breakfast and prepare yourself for local sightseeing of Gurez. You will be visiting a local town known as Dawar. It is famous as an archaeological site. Here you will get to see beautiful log wood houses. The local people of Dawar town are called “Dards”. They are very friendly, you can talk to them and explore more about their local lives.Later you visit the pyramid-shaped Habba Khatoon peak. The beautiful mountain peak is an important part of Kashmir’s history. It is named after famous Kashmiri poetess Habba Khatoon. Another attraction of this place is Habba Khatoon spring. Lucid water gushing out of the mountain range is crystal clear and has medicinal properties.After a fun filled day, head back to your hotel. Take the dinner and prepare for an overnight stay.
Begin this day of your majestic Gurez valley package with breakfast and get ready for a drive towards Srinagar. On your way, visit Manasbal Lake and Famous Kheer Bhawani Temple.
After breakfast, proceed for Sonamarg (Meadow of Gold). The distance of about 85 kms, will be covered in about 2.5 hrs. Enjoy the lovely view of heart stirring natural beauty, lakes and fairy Snow capped mountains. Sonamarg is famous tourist place in Kashmir and is known for its natural beauty, alpine flowers, evergreen pine trees, sycamore silver birch wooded treks. Later driven to Srinagar City Overnight Stay at hotel in Srinagar
After breakfast, head to Gulmarg, the meadow of flowers, Gulmarg is 60 Kms from Srinagar at an altitude of 8700-ft, and is about 2 hours drive, this place was prominent during the British time.In Gulmarg we will board the Gondola cable car system, and ascend towards the Affarwat Mountain range. The 10 minutes of ropeway will take you past colourful shepherd hutments to the lower ridge of the Affarwat peak. From here you can click lots of photos of the nearby mountain ranges that stand tall like sentinels guarding the rich natural beauty of Kashmir valley. We descend back to Gulmarg base after an hour or so and later do some horse-riding to the strawberry valley.Overnight Stay in hotel in Gulmarg
After breakfast check-out from hotel and proceed to Pahalgam (valley of Shepherds). The total distance of about 150 kms will be covered in about 4.5 hrs. En-route, visiting the saffron fields of Pampore, Apple Valley. Awantipora Ruins. Pahalgam is situated at the union of the streams flowing from Sheshnag Lake, upon arrival check into the hotel. Later enjoy Lidder stream and walk along pony trails with a magnificent view of the mountains.
After breakfast start sightseeing of Pahalgam Mini-Switzerland, Bisaran by ponies on your own cost and later head to Aru Valley, Betaab Valley and Chandanwari by Union taxi on your own cost. The picturesque route to Aru valley & Betaab Valley filled with plenty of campsites. Later comfortable night stay in hotel.
After breakfast, travel to Srinagar airport to board your flight. Go back home with some happy memories from the trip.
